Facilitated major research infrastructure and community service initiatives including:
- Revival of Gorgora Health Clinic, benefitting a remote community.
- Expansion of legal aid centers—now the largest and most structured in Ethiopia’s university system.
- Hospital support program for rural health centers in North Gondar.
International Collaborations:
- Built transformative partnerships with The Ohio State University, resulting in projects like One Health, food safety, and veterinary education reform.
- Led the $25M MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program at UoG and Queens University (Canada), creating education opportunities for 600+ disadvantaged youth across East Africa.
- Established research and capacity-building collaboration with University of Boku, Austria, directly supporting farmers and faculty.
Introduced an internal online platform for managing research, community service, and technology transfer projects.
