Professor Yared Wondimkun Endaylalu
Founding president of the University of Gondar, made significant contributions that transformed the the university of Gondar. His leadership was pivotal in establishing the Ophthalmic Hospital in Gondar. One of his proudest achievements was the establishment of University of Gondar Community School . Additionally, he secured a guest house in Kazanchis, the heart of Addis Ababa.
