CHILD-TO-CHILD ACTIVITY PACKAGE FOR YOUNG FACILITATORS ON
Project title: “Child to Child learning approach: Scaling up inclusive play based learning for smooth transition from pre-primary to early grades of primary school”

THE ROLES OF YOUNG FCILITATORS
Young facilitators are the main actors in the child to child learning approaches. They are carefully selected based on academic performance and willingness. Being a young facilitator benefits them to learn new games , how to prepare different play materials used for playing different and learn how to work with others. They expected to facilitate the child to child learning approach in the following ways.
- Identifying and choosing the games from the child-to-child activity pack that the children will play in as they learn at the learning center.
- They make play materials they will use to play the game with children in their groups.
- They discuss the pictures of games they have chosen with the children allocated to them in their groups.
- They guide and lead the children in their group through the game.
- They observe how different children play the game in the groups as they lead.
- Encouraging each child in the group to actively participate in the game.
- Reporting each child’s progress about the game played to the teacher
- Ensuring that members of their group don’t leave their play space to join other children’s groups.
- Discussing with the teacher how each child is progressing after the game is play.
- Ensuring that they practice the games they have played at the learning center even at home
- Ensuring that the space is clean after the game
