Biography

Dr. Missaye Mulatie Mengstie has served the University of Gondar since 2009, holding academic and administrative leadership roles. He played a pivotal role in launching Ethiopia’s first MA in Early Childhood Care and Education (in collaboration with Ohio State University, 2019) and the PhD in Social Psychology (2023).

His dedication to research and innovation is evident in his contributions to multinational projects, high-impact publications, and curriculum development. Dr. Missaye is also known for leading inclusive education initiatives such as the Child-to-Child Learning Project and for securing over $1 million USD in research grants.
